The Florestal Institute (IF) was a pioneer entity in nature conservation actions. The IF had its origins in the Meteorology and Botany Section of the Geographical and Geological Commission of the Province of São Paulo. The work carried out by the Swedish naturalist Alberto Löfgren, head of the Section, resulted in the creation of the Forest Service in 1911, under the direction of Edmundo Navarro de Andrade, who introduced eucalyptus on a large scale in Brazil. In 1970, after restructuring, the Forest Service is transformed into the Florestal Institute.
This project was a collaboration between me, a German group of design students who were doing an internship at the Florestal Institute, and the photographers of Horto Forest Park. I was responsible for selecting the photos, gathering the information that should be in the calendar, and creating the layout.
The final product was printed on recycled paper and using soy oil-based ink.
